Mathematics Department Mission Statement

The mission of the Township of Union Mathematics Department is to provide an educational experience in mathematics that helps students prepare for successful roles in an ever-changing society. This is accomplished through our commitment to high quality instruction, a well-designed curriculum, and a supportive environment for all of our students.

We are committed to making real world connections, promoting critical thinking and problem solving skills, and incorporating technology. We utilize multiple assessment techniques, provide a variety of teaching styles, and develop intervention plans for students who need extra help.

Students are challenged to develop skills in analysis, reasoning, creativity, collaborative learning, and self-expression as they gain knowledge of mathematics. We maintain high academic and behavioral expectations and encourage all students to realize their full potential.
