The P.A.W.S. program is a way to recognize and encourage pro-social behavior at Washington Elementary School. Students demonstrating extraordinary responsibility, respect for themselves and others, and rising to the challenges presented are nominated by faculty and staff to receive a PAWS award. These students have their picture placed on a bulletin board in the front lobby of the school and receive a certificate of recognition and a free dessert at Applebee's restaurant.
