PALS

Description Of Club:
PALS is an acronym for Peer Assistance and Leadership in School.  The primary mission of this organization is to ease the transition of 6th grade students from an elementary school setting to a middle school setting.  However, it serves dual purpose in empowering a select group of 7th and 8th grade students to assume a leadership role here at Kawameeh Middle School.

The PALS committee anticipates, through the regular interactions and planned social events, 6th grade students will feel more comfortable with their environment at Kawameeh Middle School.  That comfort level will result in both academic and social success.  This success can not be done by our committee alone.  It must be noted that the cooperation of the 6th grade home room teachers is essential to what we do.

We look forward to having your continued understanding and patience that we received in our first year in operation.  The PALS committee truly believes that this organization can have a positive impact on our students in all areas.
