Walking Club

Advisor:
Mrs. Cutrino

Description Of Club:
Walking club was started on October 5, 1993. Its purpose was to promote a healthful living activity that will remain with each participant throughout his/her lifetime. The benefits of walking range from an increased energy level to developing a better self image. Walkers walk at their own pace and are instructed in the heel-toe method of walking.  Each member is encouraged to participate in a walk-a-thon throughout the school year.  Pedometers are also used to help members count their steps; our goal is to walk 10,000 steps per day.  Participating members receive extra credit for physical education.

Meeting Schedule:
Walking Club meets every Tuesday from 2:45 pm until 3:30 pm.  Meetings are held in the Nurse's office
