Nurse's Corner

  1. I have e-mail.  Please feel free to e-mail me any questions or concerns.  I will answer as soon as possible.   My e-mail:  jcutrino@twpunionschools.org.  I have voice mail.  Please feel free to call anytime.  (908) 851-6579.
  2. Medication in school.  If your child requires medication in school, the district policy requires a signed authorization by your physician and the parent/guardian.  This policy is for prescription and non prescription medications.
  1. Health Office Emergency Card – On the first day of school your child will receive a Health Office Emergency Card.  Please read it carefully and complete the front of the card.  If , as the school year progresses, there are any changes please call or e-mail me or send a note in with the changes.  Include cell numbers.  Many times children become ill, and I am unable to reach a parent because they have changed their job and/or phone numbers.  I need your help.  Let me know when there are changes.
  1. Sports Physicals – Participation in sports is a most important part of your child’s growth and development.  Every child should be able to participate in an activity they enjoy.  A participation in sports packet is available on line or from the school nurse.  Any questions, please call or e-mail me.
  2. Most Important Suggestion:  Consider having your child get their Sports Physical during July or August.
  3. Screenings -  Hearing, Vision, Height, Weight and Blood Pressure screenings are  done throughout the school year.  Scoliosis screenings begin in February.  If you have any questions regarding screenings please call me.

Healthfully yours,

Mrs. J. Cutrino, R.N.
