| ATTENTION STUDENTS: Are you interested in an exciting volunteer position with Liberty Science Center? If yes, please pick up information in the Main Guidance Office. ATTENTION STUDENTS TAKING AP EXAMS: Students taking an AP EXAM scheduled for 12:00 noon must eat fifth period lunch on the day of their exam. Students taking two AP EXAMS on the same day should bring a bag lunch or snack to eat between tests. You will only have approximately fifteen minutes to eat lunch. Please remember to bring two number two pencils and a pen with blue or black ink. NO CELL PHONES OR ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT ARE ALLOWED. Good luck to all! THE NATIONAL GERMAN HONOR SOCIETY is sponsoring OPEN MIC on Thursday, May 15, in the UHS Library from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. Anyone interested in performing should sign up with Mr. Glowacki in Room D225. Tickets are $3.00 and will be sold during lunch and at the door. ATTENTION JUNIORS: All juniors should have had their pictures taken for the 2009 YEARBOOK. Lors has informed us that only a little over 200 students have made appointments and had their portraits taken. Call Lors Photography at 800-891-3409 and make your appointment as soon as possible. Your picture will not appear in the yearbook if we do not have a one. ATTENTION SENIORS: There are a small number of 2008 YEARBOOKS available for ordering. They will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis. Once they are gone there will be no more available The cost is $80.00. See Mr. Jones in Room D232 as soon as possible, if you would like to reserve a copy. This is your last chance to get a copy of the yearbook. STUDENT COUNCIL is sponsoring the FIFTH ANNUAL MR. UHS COMPETITION on Friday, May 16, in the Auditorium at 7:00 p.m. Tickets will be on sale in advance during all lunches from Wednesday, May 14 – Friday, May 16 for $5.00. Tickets purchased at the door will be $7.00. Don’t miss out on seeing sixteen guys from the Class of 2008 competing in casual wear, talent, swim wear and formal wear for free prom tickets! Girls from the WINTER TRACK TEAM who earned a county jacket should pick it up from Mr. Soranno in Room B115 sometime today. PROM TICKETS will be sold on Friday, May 16, a.m. ONLY; Tuesday, May 20, a.m. and p.m.; Wednesday, May 21, a.m. and p.m. These are the ONLY days tickets will be sold. All fines and class dues MUST be paid by Friday, May 16. MEMBERS AND INDUCTEES of the NATIONAL ART HONOR SOCIETY must check-in with Mrs. Leonow in Room B117 before or after school by Friday, May 16, to verify your attendance at the induction ceremony. You will also receive additional information about the rehearsal and what to wear. ATTENTION ALL SPANISH CLUB MEMBERS: Please stop by to pick up your invitation to the FAREWELL DINNER DANCE. The deadline is May 15, 2008. Come and join us for an evening of fine dining, dancing and celebration. See Mrs. Pontoriero in Room D227 for invitations. It’s that time again for DANCE CLUB’S annual DANCE CULTURAL SHOWCASE. This event displays the school’s diversity and talent through dance. Showtime is Wednesday, May 14, at 6:00 p.m. in the Auditorium. Tickets are $5.00 in advance and $7.00 at the door. Come and represent your culture. |

| There will be a meeting for all members of the ANIME CLUB on Friday, May 16, in Room D212 after school. Elections for officers for the 2008-2009 school year will be held and plans for the final meeting of the school year will be discussed. Do not miss this important meeting. There will be a meeting of the FRENCH CLUB on Thursday, May 15, in Room D121 at 2:40 p.m. We will be discussing the end-of-the-year function. Please arrive promptly. There will be a mandatory meeting for all students accepted into U.S. I Honors for the 2008-2009 school year on Monday, May 19, in Room D107 at 2:40 p.m. The summer assignment will be distributed. Failure to attend this meeting may result in removal from the course. If you are not sure of your acceptance see your counselor. If you have any questions see Mrs. Fiorito in Room D107. |
